Before I started this meditation, I was looking for deeper meaning in my life and I was also trying to find a way to relieve my stress and anxiety. Previously, I was in the Marine Corps and was deployed to Afghanistan for combat. Afterwards, I moved to Los Angeles and started working as a personal trainer and a Pilates instructor. During that time, I always felt like there was something missing. I first began to explore different types of meditation like transcendental, breathing, and I would also go to the beach for about 3-4 hours to try and clear my mind, but even after that I would still feel like I was missing something. Luckily one day at my job I saw a little blue flyer laying on the desk. That same week I went for an introduction to this meditation. I actually had no idea what to expect and thought this was going to be just like every other meditation I had tried before. In the middle of the introduction I hopped out of my seat and said “This is it!” Everything made so much sense after listening to the introduction. From there, I knew I had to experience this for myself. I started with one month and that was 3 years ago. Now, I still meditate almost every day and I have been able to overcome so much of the stress, anxiety and depression I was struggling with before. I am able to realize what true happiness is after I cleanse my mind through this method. I used to have so many questions about life and I used to read so many books trying to find all the answers. After this meditation, all of my questions about life were answered to the extent that I was able to let go of my own perceptions and false mind. This meditation method is a true miracle. My wish is that everyone who is looking for the true meaning of life may find this meditation.

Before I started meditating, I constantly felt like I was stuck or that something was missing in my life. I always felt on edge, as if I had to keep striving for more because I did not feel I was good enough. For example, I felt very low when I received anything less than an A in class or if I made even a small mistake at work. I would spend so much time trying to cope with my anxiety that I couldn’t concentrate and would end up procrastinating. I wanted to pursue higher education but my confidence was low and I did not think I would be able to make it through. So, I knew I had to find something to help me get there.  My sister found this meditation method and after just 2 weeks, I noticed she was much more relaxed and would to respond to situations more calmly. For instance, she used to get easily frustrated when her son threw tantrums. Since starting meditation, she has much more patience with her son and now even his behavior has improved. After seeing such changes, I knew I had to try it out for myself.

Now over two years later, I am much more efficient with my work and finally found the courage to achieve my goal of going back to school. I recently completed my first year of my PhD program and I can honestly say I would not have made it this far without meditation. I became much better at managing my time and find it easier to concentrate on whatever needs to be done in the moment. Any time I feel stressed with all that I have going on, I take a break to visit the meditation center and just eliminate all of my worries. I return to my work refreshed and prepared to conquer the project at hand. I feel so grateful for having found this method and recommend it to anyone who is ready to make a positive change.

“In the past, I would have spiraled into negative thinking when bad situations occurred. It would have affected my well-being for weeks, if not months. This meditation helped me to remain grounded and focused, so I could do what I needed to do at the moment.”

Prior to going to this meditation, I found meditating to be difficult. I could not concentrate and I was anxious. After a couple of months of meditating here, I am better equipped to handle situations. Recently, I started a new job that required traveling, and simultaneously was told I needed to find a new apartment. They were demolishing the building I was living in for 16 years.  In the past, I would have spiraled into negative thinking when bad situations occurred. It would have affected my well-being for weeks, if not months.

This meditation helped me to remain grounded and focused, so I could do what I needed to do at the moment. I realized in the big scheme of life, this was very small and I could accept it and move on. I am grateful for what I learned from this meditation; I still struggle certain days but I am stronger now than before I started. I believe in the process and the great people at this center to continue to guide me through the meditation.

Before starting this meditation I’d only been living in Los Angeles for 6 months. I hadn’t made many friends and I was still searching for a place where I belonged. I was working part-time for a private security company and I felt that my life was going in circles. I found this meditation during a casual day at the gym. There was a charming young man from the Hollywood Sunset center who approached me. After a short chat, I agreed to an introduction. I’ve been meditating for years but I’ve always been open to new methods of inner peace. Externally, my life has had its ups and downs. On the inside, I knew I could find a way to overcome all of my problems.

Once I began practicing this meditation daily, I slowly began letting go of anxieties and fears. Having ample free time, I came into the center six days a week. I was told it was a surefire way to advance quickly. I did advance quickly, and I have been coming consistently for three months now. The greatest change I feel is more relief. I don’t stress as much as I did before and my faith in the good life has grown. Setting aside at least an hour a day to meditate has allowed me to detach from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

After excelling in this meditation, I find quiet hour to be my favorite time of day. I can never have enough peace & happiness and that’s what this practice brings me. I recommend anyone who has ears to listen and give a try. The worst that can happen is that this meditation isn’t for you. The best that can is happen is that your life will change for the better, forever.
